Trust, and the cost of Junk Values

Values, when true and observed, build trust. Trust buys us the freedom to innovate, to JFDI, to make mistakes.

"Junk Values are plucked from a tiny lexicon, usually irrelevant, and often destined to be ignored or broken. When we state our values and live by them, we build trust."

"But when we declare Junk Values, words that don't matter to us, that aren't in our vernacular, that we haven't chosen or considered, we're almost certain not to live by them. And when we fail to live by our stated values, we break trust." (From Junk Values)

Trust matters. Trust buys us the freedom to innovate, to JFDI, to make mistakes.
