That felt visible today at my local church's Easter services. People are coming back to church for all sorts of reasons, as much about community as it is about faith.

The early morning BCP service I attended was hearteningly full. I have been struck by accounts of younger worshippers returning to this poetic, demanding text, drawn to its dignity and depth. We underestimate younger people at our peril.

Having spent much of my life out of sync with the prevailing tide of The Church of England, it is reassuring to feel a slight pull in my direction.

I tend not to speak publicly about my faith, largely because people need to, and can, trust my neutrality. It provides a form of navigation without becoming what I prescribe.
